Empire Beauty is a turnkey salon interior design and fit-out in New Cairo. They came to us with a shell and a fixed opening date. We took concept, design, construction, custom furniture and styling — and handed back a finished, working salon twenty-one days later.

What a Salon Interior Has to Do
A salon must feel calm enough to sit in for three hours, bright enough to judge colour accurately, and photogenic enough that clients post from it. It also has to survive water, heat and bleach without looking tired within a year.

Zoning: Loud Work and Quiet Work
Styling and wash stations run along the window wall, the manicure and pedicure lounge sits behind slatted walnut screens, and the treatment rooms are furthest from the door. The screens divide the space without closing it in.
COMMERCIAL INTERIOR DESIGN · CAIRO
Materials, Palette and Light
Warm terracotta and blush against pale oak floors, walnut, rattan and greenery. Concealed lighting inside the screens does the flattering work while track lighting above gives staff the technical light they need. The ceiling services were left exposed and painted out.
